Bishop Iker is getting quite a lot of &#8220;<a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.standfirminfaith.com\/index.php\/site\/article\/7601\/\">fan mail<\/a>,&#8221; according to <i>Stand Firm<\/i>, which also carries a <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.standfirminfaith.com\/index.php\/site\/article\/7609\/\">long piece<\/a> by Fr. Matt Kennedy disputing Jerry Brower&#8217;s &#8220;conservative&#8221; <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/pg\/07315\/832649-109.stm#\">stand against<\/a> the proposed schism in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, as U. S. Catholic Bishops <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kendallharmon.net\/t19\/index.php\/t19\/article\/7597\/\">call for a &#8220;responsible transition&#8221; in Iraq<\/a>, as noted at <i>TitusOneNine<\/i>, the Province of Nigeria prays officially in &#8220;<a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anglican-nig.org\/main.php?k_j=12&#038;d=131&#038;p_t=index.php?\">opposition to all unbiblical acts in the world<\/a>.&#8221; Fr. Mark Harris has the Nigeria story and some good <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/anglicanfuture.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/prayer-always-top-priority-of-church-is.html\">commentary<\/a>. Looks like the &#8220;world&#8221; is pretty much the same as yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Back to Fort Worth, <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/episcopalchurch.typepad.com\/episcope\/2007\/11\/iker-who-me.html\">epiScope<\/a> references <a target=\"blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chron.com\/disp\/story.mpl\/ap\/tx\/5298761.html\">this story<\/a> about Bishop Iker&#8217;s response to the Presiding Bishop, noting that &#8220;Episcopalians are among several denominations struggling to agree on what the Bible says about gender and sexuality.&#8221; <i>Struggling to disagree<\/i> would say it better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s good to see that my brother&#8217;s story has been picked up around the Net.
