Because I expected it would be printed in the paper, if published at all, and because I didn&#8217;t see it there, I thought it had failed of its aim. But I didn&#8217;t think of the online paper. Here&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/blogzone\/letters-to-the-editor\/letters-to-the-editor\/2009\/03\/slus-vendetta-against-professor-is-shameful\/\">my letter<\/a>, and a couple of links <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wordpress.com\/tag\/avis-meyer\/\">here<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/saveavis.wordpress.com\/\">here<\/a> to local blogs that tell a good deal of the back story if you look around.<\/p>\n<p>I <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/julianlong.net\/wordpress\/?p=24\">blogged about<\/a> the back story over a year ago.
