Though I&#8217;ve got a raft of drafts sitting here, I don&#8217;t feel like finishing most of them right now. So I think I&#8217;ll just post music for a while. I&#8217;ve a couple of seasonal drafts involving choral music I had thought to post. They&#8217;ll appear over the next couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s my first musical post of the season, a wonderful <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.answers.com\/topic\/music-for-a-while-from-oedipus-song-z-583-2\">song by Henry Purcell<\/a>, the thought inspired by the last sentence of my previous paragraph. This performance allows the listener to follow a score, a nice touch; and I like the female singer, too; her singing nicely recontextualizes the piece and renders it universal, in a sense.<\/p>\n<p><i><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WPdP4cDLomI\">Music for a While<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p><object width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/WPdP4cDLomI&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/WPdP4cDLomI&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been caught up in life too much to post for a couple of weeks.
