One of the nice things I remember about being a kid is lying on the living room floor reading the funny papers, as we called them. These days, I like Dave Walker’s cartoons, especially his church cartoons, some of which you can look through at his blog called Cartoon Church. These must have impressed the Rev. Dr. Williams, who made him official cartoonist to the recent Lambeth Conference. Here’s a pic of Walker and the ABC together.
Walker publishes some public domain cartoons. Here’s one of those I like. I’ll leave it here for a while and then replace it.
I also like the daily cartoons from Mark Anderson’s Andertoons. These change every day and come in various categories. Here’s today’s educator cartoon.
I’ll be looking for things to add to this page. Meanwhile, you
might want to check out
Kevin Huizenga’s blog,
The Balloonist.
Here’s something else. All of Walt Kelly’s books about Pogo Possum are out of print, alas. But a new Complete Pogo is on the way from Fantagraphics Books. Meanwhile, you can take a look at some online Pogo here
Oh, and I’ve just discovered Ann Telnaes’s cartoons in The Washington Post. Take a look.
